Dental Implants & Full Mouth Rehabilitation

  • A dental implant is a titanium screw-like structure that substitutes the root and is placed in your jaw to hold a replacement tooth, bridge, or denture in place. While high-tech in nature, dental implants are more tooth-saving than traditional bridgework since implants do not rely on neighboring teeth for support.

Periodontal Disease Treatments

  • Periodontitis is a chronic infectious disease that affects the gum and bone that surround and support the teeth. It is one of the most common inflammatory diseases affecting humans; 70.1% of adults over 65 years old have periodontal disease. In the early stage, called gingivitis, the gums can become swollen and red, and they may bleed.

Gum Grafting & Cosmetic Treatments

  • There are many elements that make up a beautiful, healthy-looking smile. The gum tissue that surrounds and supports your teeth plays a big role in how harmonious your smile will look. Sometimes, when there is excess gum tissue, the teeth appear smaller. This is often referred to as a gummy smile.  Other times, the opposite problem exists, where your teeth appear too long because your gum tissue has reseeded (pulled back), exposing tooth or root surfaces that were covered at one time, or you may have an uneven gum line.

Bone Grafting Solutions

  • Over time, after teeth have been extracted, the lower and upper jaws can become deformed, leaving insufficient bone structure for the placement of dental implants. In order to correct this situation, we proceed to modify the ridge, a procedure better known as a bone graft. This operation involves lifting the gum to expose the inadequate bone structure and filling it with a bone substitute to rebuild the ridge. This procedure greatly improves the quality of the bone and increases the chances for successful dental implant placement.
